Grundy County is located in Central Iowa, along US-20. It is named for Felix Grundy, an Attorney General of the United States.

The seat and largest city is Grundy Center.

It borders Butler, Black Hawk, Tama, Marshall and Hardin Counties.

Main Highways include US-20, IA-14, IA-57 and IA-175.
